By visiting notesbymaru.net ("the site") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms occasionally — the "last updated" date above tells you when we last touched them. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

2. What the site is

notesbymaru.net is a personal blog by Maru. The content is opinion and experience — not professional advice. We share notes on software, design, productivity, and the occasional unrelated thought. Take what's useful, ignore what isn't.

3. Copyright & reuse

All written content, images, and original code on the site are owned by Maru unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may:

  • Read, share, and link to articles freely.
  • Quote short excerpts (a paragraph or two) with attribution and a link back to the original.

You may not, without prior written permission:

  • Republish whole articles on another website or in a publication.
  • Use the content to train AI/ML models.
  • Use the brand name or logo to suggest endorsement.

4. User-submitted content (comments & contact form)

When you post a comment or send a message through the contact form, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, store, and moderate that content for the purpose of running the site. You keep the copyright; we just need permission to publish it.

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats.
  • Infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
  • Promotes spam, phishing, or malware.
  • Violates Indonesian law (including UU ITE) or your local law.

We reserve the right to remove or edit any submission without notice. Repeat offenders get blocked.

Articles may link to external sites we find useful. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, security, or policies. Click at your own risk.

6. Availability

The site is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it online and secure, but we don't promise 100% uptime or freedom from bugs. We're not liable for any loss caused by the site being unavailable, slow, or showing incorrect information.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute arises that we can't sort out by talking, it will be settled in the courts of Jakarta.
