Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect only the data we need to run the site: rough page-view stats, your name and message if you submit the contact form or post a comment. We don't run ads, we don't profile you, and we don't sell anything to anyone. Below is the long version with the details.

2. What we collect — and why

2.1 Page-view analytics

We may use a privacy-friendly analytics service (Plausible, Fathom, or Umami) to count how many people visit each page, where they came from (roughly — country level), and what kind of device they use. These services don't use cookies and don't store personal data. We can't see you individually.

If Google Analytics 4 is enabled (it's optional and may not be running), it sets cookies and you'll see a consent banner.

2.2 Comments

If you leave a comment, we store the name and email you provide, the comment text, and the timestamp. Your email is not displayed publicly — it's only used to detect spam and moderate replies. We don't share it with anyone.

2.3 Contact form

When you message us through the contact form, your name, email, and message are sent to our inbox via Maileroo (an email-delivery service). They're stored only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation.

2.4 Server logs

Cloudflare (which hosts the site) keeps standard server logs: timestamps, IP addresses, requested URLs, response status codes. These are kept short-term for security and debugging.

3. What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your data.
  • We don't run advertising trackers.
  • We don't build a behavioural profile of you.
  • We don't use your content to train AI models.
  • We don't share data with third parties beyond what's listed below.

4. Third-party services we use

Cloudflare
Hosting + CDN. Standard server logs. Their policy.
Maileroo
Sends contact form emails to our inbox. Their policy.
Cloudinary
Image transforms and delivery. Their policy.
Analytics (when enabled)
One of Plausible / Fathom / Umami / Google Analytics 4 may be running. See section 2.1.

5. Your rights

Under Indonesia's UU PDP (Personal Data Protection Law) and the EU's GDPR (if you're in the EU), you can:

  • Ask what data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Withdraw consent for any optional processing (e.g. analytics).
  • Complain to the relevant authority if you think we mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, message us through the contact page. We'll respond within 30 days.

6. Children's privacy

The site is intended for readers 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe we've collected data from your child, contact us and we'll delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or when new services are added. Material changes will be noted at the top with a new "last updated" date.
